Thanks for the video.

Following is intended to have you think for a moment about cold weather/water safety.
You mentioned you had a couple ways to start a fire in a dry box on the kayak, but you have to be able to get to the shore to use it.
50 degrees and soaking wet can definitely lead to hypothermia.
You mentioned fishing on a power plant lake so the water is warmer in the winter.
I used to go scuba diving on a power plant lake here inTtexas in the winter and the water was plenty cold.
It is still probably cold enough that if you were to go in it would zap your strength quickly and lead to hypothermia.
Noticed you did not have on any waders or wet/dry suit to protect yourself in the event you do go into the water.
You might think about getting one of these.
I would hate to hear that something happened to you because you did not have the proper equipment.
If nothing else, do it for the family.

I want a dry suit but they really leave the fat guys out on options
