Taking my 12yr old ( future tournament partner), out fishing Saturday. He's into bass fishing, but not as much as I was when I was his age.

Looking for suggestions on where to go for possible numbers of fish. Like most kids his age, his patience isn't great and he prefers moving baits, sq. bills and such.

I know that numbers can be tough this time of year with the water temps dropping and all.

Any info would be appreciated..

There were some hungry 13 inchers up on rocky secondary points on Lewisville a week ago if squaw is too far or no reservations left

Alright, we are going to Squaw. Reservation made. Anything I need to know? I'm basically launching solo, because he can't drive yet. I hear the ramp can get crazy..

Any areas of the lake I need to avoid? Where is it safe to run? I fished there many years ago from the bank..

Sorry for all the questions, just don't want to deal with surprises..

Thanks!!

Don't launch at first ramp after coming down the hill. It is very steep and the ramps can be slippery be careful.Tournament this Saturday so might want to take your time getting to ramp.Good luck fishing.
