That's one monster of a fly. I could see it being good on large stripers and largemouth and pelagic fish in the salt.

Bob's original design was tied on a single strand 150# mono, that young man changed it to articulate. Still looks like a lot of work.
Plus you would need a briefcase size fly box

I did these out of Icelandic Sheep Hair just yesterday. Very easy material to work with and these are fast, non-fussy ties. I donโ€™t know if they are any good yet, but they swim nicely and at least one largemouth bass approved.
