Tuesday: Looked like the best day weather wise for this week so James and I fished from 8:30 until noon. Found some nice fish on brushpiles around 18'-20' but they were really spooky. Would either run out and away from the area as soon as the boat stopped or as soon as one or two would bite. We kept moving slowly and quietly and managed to catch 28 keepers. Only kept 17 of the biggest, all over 12".

Nice weather, nice day. Never saw another boat on the lake.

Ernest my wife and myself have been finding very spookie crappie since before thanksgiving. They are suspended on our lakes in the main river channels out away from any cover. Find them like 35 to 45 feet from the boat 12 foot deep in 25 foot of water. Only wat to catch them is to use a minnow on a slip cork set at around 12 foot deep. But we are killing them. In three days caught 25 over 2 lbs and nothing under 1 lb. cleaned over a hundred let most of the big girls go to spawn. Last two days they are with shad balls and not hungry but very spookie. Start the tm and they are gone.

The crappie are getting the news about the Livescopes everyone are starting to use. Pretty soon it will take dynamite to catch one.
