Has anyone use the Garmin 93 sv? Is it a good unit and easy to use? And will the livescope work with it? Thanks

It will work with the Livescope.

I just bought the 126sv and have only been out with it 4 times. I am impressed with the unit.

Lot of people use 93sv with Livescope. Some even sell Livescope combo with 93sv, it's definitely good enough. However, it's like anything else, there is always a better head unit somewhere with better resolution, faster response, faster screen refresh rate and etc, it just more expensive. BassPro/Cabela's will have 93sv on sale this Black Friday for $599 but in my option the best deal is from Reeds Family Outdoor Outfitters, they sell it for the same price but no tax. You would have to call them, their website still shows $999.

Make absolutely sure you get the 93SV "PLUS". It's the one that's compatible with Livescope. I run 2 of them.

Depending on your fishing style, I tell most people to go ahead and get 2 head units, or plan on it. You don't think you'll need 2, until you realize having 2 is so much more efficient. (one at console and one in the front). With the sales going on, it's a good time to get them both. You can always return or resell.

I have the 93SV+ but would probably go bigger if doing it over again.

93SV+ on the bow for LiveScope. Last night replaced a 73SV with an Ultra 126SV … cannot wait to install it!
93SV+ for me is plenty for LIveScope … but that's just me.

The 93sv Plus is a great starter unit for Livescope. You may, in fact, find them available at BPS or Cabelas on clearance for $599.99 as they are being closed out and replaced with the 93sv UHD. Our experience is most that get the 93sv will end up trying to sell it and go with a larger model shortly after getting familiar with it.

Awesome!

I didn't know but apparently my wife had bought some gift cards at 10% off from Bass Pro Shop and handed them to me and said "use these" .... I got a good wife. LOL.

i just bought one a few weeks ago (used). this is a pic the first day i had it out. i almost expected to see a tire swing hanging from this tree! it is super user friendly. i told myself i was just gonna go scouting but couldn't help myself - i had to fish. caught 6 in an hour and a half. you could also see the fish on the bridge pilings (wish i had taken a pic of that). i would love a bigger screen but can't justify the cost just yet. this screen is great but when you start adding in charts, sonar, and downvu, it gets really crowded quickly. i use my iphone for navionics on the dash and try to use the garmin for sonar unless i need a big map. I talked to a Garmin factory support rep today and he said the new UHD units do not have a faster processor as I had been told by a salesman, nor will the pic from a livescope change any at all. He said the only difference will be the compatibility with the new UHD transducers.
