When whites are feeding on the surface, try using a fly rod to catch them. It is extremely exciting and I have seen times where I was catching fish 5 to 1 when compared to jigs and lures. They love streamers and clousers in white and chartreuse.

This has been an incredibly helpful thread for guys like me who are white and hybrid virgins. I’ll be trying some of these methods in the next few weeks as I explore a new lake to try to land some wipers. Thanks to all for contributing!

I have been watching sandbass on my Panoptix and have seen times when there were no fish on the graph but when I jigged my slab, a “Christmas tree” of fish suddenly showed up. I will try to record it next time.
