I am looking at wall of neko skirts at bass pro at the moment and was wondering if people actually use these and notice a bite difference. Thoughts?

When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip!

Let's get serious. 95% of the products catch fishermen. Fish are not intelligent creatures. So yes . . . they will catch fish. More fish? Debatable. If it looks like food (and you present it as such) they'll eat it. Pretty simple.

Bill Dance once said this: "Fish only have 3 thoughts in their entire lifespan. (1) Make little fish (2) Be comfortable (3) Find food." Don't give them too much credit.

I use a needle threader and pull a few strands of skirt thru my neko at times, I dont know how you would say it makes a difference unless youve got two guys one throwing with and one without.

^^I agree.

I put the zappu nail skirted nail weight into a roman made prologue. When I dangled it into the water in front of me, the neko worm looks like a fish, and the skirt material sticking out of the front looked like a little prey item struggling in its mouth. Sick presentation, I caught a few bass with it. Dunno if it works better than no skirt material though. You can easily try it by making your own - just take a nail weight and tie some skirt material around it with a uni knot.

Jeff I've been using one of these for a few years. It came with the discontinued Mojo weight system, which is now licensed by Phenix.

I like to add tentacles to crawdads, put skirts around swimbaits and belly hook them for a weedless swim jig, and add a little neko flare.
