It has been an incredible few days even though the Crappie bite was in a bit of a funk. It was for us anyway.

I got Mom and Dad out and even my older son Trevin.

My Cousin Paula came down from Amarillo and we took her Crappie Fishing on 4 Different Lakes. We fished Bridges and Brush mainly with some very light Timber fishing.

Some pictures from the past few days. She left Tuesday.

Dad and I manged a Double Limit yesterday.

The time we spent together as Family was fantastic even though the fishing bite was funky for us.

Even yesterday with the Double Limit it was still a funky bite.

I look at these photos and I am very Thankful for times like these spending time with my Family and Crappie fishing.
I have had some reach out to me in Private Messages and share memories of their family who are no longer with us.

Life is precious and cherish it with those you love while you still can because it can be gone in an instant.
Cheers to those Past and Present. cheers

Thankful for these awesome memories. fish

I would like to give a Big Shout out to Ron Duran at Lift Saver Trolling Motor Mount.

Christmas came early and I had the Garmin Echomap Ultra 126SV along with Livescope LVS32 installed by Ron Duran along with his Livescope Pole Mount.
Ron rigged up an extender on a Ram Mount and as you can see in the Photos everything is at my Dads reach within arms length. No bending over or having to look down at his feet.
The screen quality and the ease of use of the 126SV is impressive. Go Garmin!! Wow.
My Dad can move his transducer for the Livescope and it is right there.
He never has to get up out of his Captain Chair.

I can even see it from the Back of the boat.

We actually had 4 boats come up to us on the water wanting to see the Livesope in action and check out the set up.
The Black Emerald selection is fantastic. I have a picture of it even though I took it on the fly. Much better in person.
Ron even rigged up a special mount for his pole that holds the Livescope transducer and we can remove it in under a minute when we want to fish bridges. Awesome job Ron!!!

I can highly recommend Ron for install and his products they are First Class all the way.

Thank You for allowing me to share.

Happy Thanksgiving to All.

Glad to hear from folks that realize just how Blessed they are. Always enjoy your pics you share.....so you're the guy I see on 380 going fishing while I'm going to work. It's the noodles around the motor I recognize.

Haha. Yup that's us!

Thank you.

I have lots of family and friends no longer with us.
Both my wife and I had separate horrific accidents that neither of us should have survived.
Mine was a plane crash in 1995.
My wife a Paramedic was working a car accident in 2005 on Interstate 820 and got hit by a car going 70 mph.
She was one of many First Responders who was honored by the then Governor Rick Perry with the Texas Star Award.
It was due to that accident and she received it on 09-11-2007.
Pretty special award.
Family next to me at the ceremony was receiving it for their son who was a Customs Pilot who died in a plane crash from a Microburst the same thing that caused my accident. Sent chills through my body.

With my wife and both my sons being First Responders and being raised in a Military Family we know that Freedom isn't Free and Life can be gone in an instant.

I hope to keep making memories for years to come with my friends and family.

Keep taking and sharing pictures.

I miss every day the ones who aren't here anymore like my good friend Matt Carroll.

I'm Thankful he graced my life as a good friend.

Thanks for letting me share everyone.

What great pictures and appreciation for the time spent on the water. Those dogs need poles in their hands and watching livescope; they wouldn't be sleepy once they see a Crappie take their lure on LVS smile

Thanks for sharing, and reminding us the important things.
Tim

Great post.

To everyone: Be thankful for the days you spend with Family and Friends. When you get as old as I am, you realize that those are the only important things in your life. Everything else is just noise and stuff, that in the end, isn't important.

Wayne

Merry Christmas to you all! (I guess this is appropriate since Thanksgiving is over!) roflmao
