Forward almost exclusively. I bass fish flatland lakes usually in 20' of water or less. Buddy lives in Utah, bass fishes and uses down most of the time because he is fishing deep, clear lakes.

Forwardvu as it allows me to be focused on my target much better over downvu.

I use down view. I set up over fish and vertical jig them, Hybrids and Sandbass. If I was a Bass fisherman I would prefer the forward view.

Down view with the grandsons so they can both video game fish. They love to watch their crappie jigs.

I never use downview. I find that forward view gives you both forward and about half the depth behind the transducer, which is plenty for jigging as well as searching. I'm not sure if downview would give me any advantage with my styles of fishing. It's just my way, not necessarily good for everybody.

One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too!

I have never used the down view, I probably need to try that and see for myself.
