For those that have the Helium 3, what’s your thoughts for contact baits. Thinking about picking up a couple while on sale.

Thanks in Advance and Happy Thanksgiving

I bought one yesterday. I tried it out, great sensitivity and it launched a 6XD without difficulty. The heavy is rated up to 3oz, so a 10XD or A-rig will not be a problem. Sadly in my 15 minute trial I was not able to hook a fish. I've also not had it in heavy rock yet. Definitely great quality, but the jury is still out for me. 20% off plus you may be able to talk them into an additional 15% off if you are a first time buyer.

I have bunch, they are great, you won't be disappointed. That said, I recently picked up a couple of z-bones thinking I overpaid because they can't be that much better than the helium's, but they are. I moved most of my contact baits to z-bones now, but again, the helium's are definitely worth the price.

I really like the Helium 3’s and I have a bunch of them. My son and I have about 5 Z Bones, if money were no object I’d have a lot more. Both are great rods and for the money it’s hard to beat the Helium 3’s in my opinion. I live just a few miles from Kistler’s shop and enjoy going by there and getting some rods and talking to Trey.

You really should take advantage of the up to 40% off sale. $999 or more order gets you the biggest discount.

I bought a Zbone, 2 FNR, and a KLX.

I’ve bought before when they had 35% off sales. This 40% is great.

To answer the question, the Helium is good stuff, but for bottom contact, I prefer ZBones.

The Heliums are awesome rods for contact baits and I agree if you have it to spend the ZBONE blows them away! I was a non believer until I finally bought one on sale and wish I could switch more ords over to the Zbone.

Just ordered a Zbone on the Black Friday sale. I have several now and just love them! So lite and sensitive it's unbelievable. But beware a Zbone will ruin you, you want to fish anything else!!!

Cheers, cheers

George
