To hit the water....after a mediocre deer season so far. I think I'll dust off the BassCat and hit it all weekend while the wife and daughter shop & decorate the house.
Who's with me?

Deer has been great already filled the freezer and chasing ducks now. Won’t be long and I'll be after the fish.

Would recommend not going to Fork or you will be disappointed. Zeroed three weeks in row and have fished it since 88. Worst fall ever even immediately after the kill I did better.

Fish aren't biting, keep on hunting guys!

I'm enjoying the reduction in boat traffic. roflmao

something "not good" going on with Fork... sure would appreciate a TP&W report... I know for a fact they did a electro-shock survey about a month or so ago... and the area they shocked was incredibly deplete of Bass from an area that's known to have been a good area for numbers...

Require a whole lot of luck...

It’s been rough the last two trips. 4 Sunday afternoon, and then 1 this afternoon. Tough to find a pattern for sure. Still my favorite time of the year to fish.

Agree Randy. Earlier this fall I saw several bass struggling out on the main lake. They were swimming or trying to swim but were vertical nose up just under the surface. They would swim up a few feet and sink back. I was able to poke one with rod. He sank back and then popped up again never fully floating on surface. Just kept going up and down nose up just under the surface. Never have seen anything like that before and they were nice sized fish. Not saying lake is dead cause I have seen some schooling fish in a back creek area but something is not right. Was thinking it was me but I am hearing the guides are really struggling also and fishing elsewhere.

TPWD:
Fork Fishing Report
Nov 27, 2019
GOOD. Water stained; 59-64 degrees; 2.08’ low. Largemouth bass are good on plastic worms, caterpillars, and Alabama rigs on points, shallower mid-lake spots, and among standing timber. Mapping ridges will help establish your consistent spots. White and yellow bass are good on Alabama Rigs. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows in the stumps or man-made structures. Catfish are good on prepared bait and cut bait.

What they burning leaves around the lake? Lol. So we are back to the 14 being caught there? The debate rages on lol I know it’s probably me not adapting to the fish suspending but man it’s tough for me right now out there. Went back to logs as a gut check the other day, spots and techniques that have been money for years just not paying off this year.

Sorry I couldn't help myself. Just so we are clear, nothing makes me prouder than to hear about Fork kicking out another giant bass (even tho this was not the case here). It has been tough for everybody this fall bud. Don't feel like the Lone Ranger.
