I agree, BUT Thrift moves around the lake a lot...that won't help him in MLF, if your bait is not wet your falling behind, he'll have to change that to be successful

They won’t be the only ones I’m guessing.

This is good news for all parties involved.

Some guys do really well at that format, others don't. For every guy that leaves another will gladly fill his spot. I think this will be common the next couple years

I think Thrift will do really well in the BPT format.

I like both formats and hope they both do well. I didn't care as much for the elites last year because the field was just ripped so much but as the younger anglers build their brand maybe they can both coexist.

Lol, why would this be a bother to me? I have a decade long relationship with Swindle and nearly the same with Palaniuk and wasn't in the dark about this. They'll represent the brands we manage well at BASS as they always have. Every angler needs to do what's best for them in their situation. MLF as already filled the spots with two really good anglers, so this worked out for all involved.

You can see the BPT interest dropping off which is natural. It will be interesting to see how year 2 and year 3 end up in terms of the BPT and MLF having a following that makes the financials work out. It would be super interesting to see their balance sheet for year 1.

Definitely some big money behind the BPT. They will bankroll it for a while to establish it. However sooner or later big money wants ROI. That could come a number of ways. I think after 3 years there is some major restructuring to make it all work financially.

MLF website confirms Thrift and Dudley coming to BPT. So it’s a pretty equal replacement to Swindel and Palanuik.
No way for Thrift and Dudley tp go to the Elites except thru the Opens.

If I were BASS I would raise the number of Legends and add in criteria that lets FLW Tour AOY, Forest Wood Cup.... apply.
