I have been working on these rod holders and have been very stable on my Texas City dike trips here is the build on the fly. i also made one for spinning rods on a separate video go check them out. The Baitcaster is stable forward but if a fish pulls sideways it become unstable i may have to make it wider since it is narrow. The spinning rod one is very stable because of the 2in pvc.
