Find some lay downs in 12-16 feet of water. Toss your jig out across the lay down and let it drift back across it. If you can get your jig to just clip the top of the lay down that will get more bites. The lay downs I’ve been catching off of are no more than 2’ tall. You can catch a few in a bigger brush pile but the bite is much slower. Salt & Pepper seems to be the best color, for me anyway. 1/16 to 1/8th ounce jig head unpainted. Crappie Magnet has the best color of Salt & Pepper I believe. The back, or top if you will, is a darker color than the bottom. Do a search of my posts and you can find my info on Bardwell. If you see my yellow boat come by and maybe I can give you a few pointers on where to look. Good luck

Not sure where you plan on launching but with a NE wind Love Park is your best bet. That cove has a few brush piles in it. They are not my first choice when the water is 2' low. You can also fish the east bank down toward the water intake tower. There are a few brush piles that way also. If you go around the big point, south of the ramp, there is an area there that is protected from NE wind also. There is some brush in a little deeper water there. Wished I could go but that wind is just a little more than I'm willing to take.
Good Luck and let us know how you do.

No fee. I’ve been launching there for over 5 years and never had a problem.

I skunked. Battery was dead so I couldn’t use electronics.

Hate when that happens! Maybe next time will be better. There are plenty of fish in there if you can find the brush.
