I've seen where a few are choosing to fish the BASS Opens with the goal of making the Classic...
Require a whole lot of luck...

Its the minor leagues to get on to the BPT now. With that said I'm sure a couple of top FLW pros will stick around to fish against a lessor field.
I hate photobucket.

They went from being professional anglers to the AAA league and the only place they can go is to the Bass Pro Tour

Here's a little insight from this podcast, starts talking about it at 10 minutes in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3yXrrAiSAMSome industry sponsors are backing away from the AAA circuit and are dropping some anglers that got stuck there.

It's behind the scenes logistics and sponsor alignment.

Is Gerald Swindle leaving the BPT? Said he signed up for both divisions of Bass Opens next year.

It's behind the scenes logistics and sponsor alignment. Well said Brandon. I can see with a changing market, the economics for the sponsors has to be reviewed.

How many of you already thought of the FLW as the AAA's? I know I did, probably couldn't name more than 2 fisherman on the circuit.

That's exactly right, he fishes everything he can fit in his schedule. Several of them fished the opens last year, the ones they had time for. I saw a few MLF guys at Costas, too. Another reason they kind of had to back off the no-livewell theme.

Guys have been moving from FLW to BASS and from BASS to FLW from as far back as the day FLW was formed. Nothing new except you can now put BPT into the conversation.

FLW tour basically became the equivalent of the BASS Open when MLF brought FLW.
