we all have our opinions im good with that.. For this neighborhood pond is about 50 acres and heavy heavy fished so a 5 to 7 lb bass there is a beast. My pb is only 8 1/2 but in a smaller maybe 6acre pond but had very little pressure. My equipment is low budget for a reason most anglers pond hopping are not really the guys buying 300$-600$ Rods. But we all have our opinions and i respect that.

Congrats on the biggun.
I myself at one time was a pond hopper and had budget gear. It works for sure, but I found that after breaking a few too many rods / guides / etc. I was spending just as much on the medium expense rods. I started buying used and found that Diawa reels fit me best and rods were good as new if the seller was particular about how they used / stored them.
Keep at it man and don't listen to those who rain cloud your fun.

Nice catch...5.5 is a nice fish on any day and for a small pond like that I would say it is a beast too. Mike Iaconelli on MLF would still be screaming...HAHA.. Nice video thanks for sharing...interesting in how you worked that NED rig...I have tried that set up on occasion but never really had any real success with it. Will have to pull that Ned rig out and try it again.

Wow. Haters right out of the gate.
I know plenty of fisherfolks that have never caught a 5 pound bass, and to denigrate the OP because you do not feel he is entitled to call his fish is a good one is sad.
