Ouchee. I had to get a hand xray a few years back due to some pain on a finger tip of my fretting guitar hand. The doc says, " I can tell from the xrays you broke a few bones in this hand before". I knew I had hurt my hands often as a young hothead but had never thought they were broke. In hindsight, I wish I took better care as a young lad. Hindsight is always 20/20. Foresight, not so much. Especially when we are young, bullet proof, and immortal.

Just remember Django only had 2 1/2 fingers on his fretting hand.  if it gets worse you could always learn the banjo

I knew I had hurt my hands often as a young hothead but had never thought they were broke. In hindsight, I wish I took better care as a young lad. My hands took a lot of abuse my entire life. Today I have pain in both of them doing just about anything I do. It sucks but you learn to adapt. Me playing a guitar would be about as entertaining as listening to me sing.

In my case playing keeps them exercised i think. Still one knuckle on the left hand complains a lot.
