There are a couple of anglers that appear to not post anymore. They were long time posters and good anglers with good stories and pics to back things up. LOVEFLDX and whiterockjessie I believe were the correct names. Anyway hope they are still fishing and doing well. Just miss the fishing info and pics they provided.

I can confirm that WhiteRockJesse still fishes fish

I have not seen a post from Rudy aka LOVEFLDY in awhile. I have seen a few post from WhiteRockJesse in the Carp section! thumb

Agree. A lot of people don't post that used to

Life and time changes people, and entities evolve, and not always for the better.

People come and go.

In the fishing forum, the Off Topic/OT is fun, most times, but it has a lot to do with men coming and going, staying and laughing, or shunning then leaving.

In the other forums, like "bank fishing," life ensues, and it dictates our visits.

I posted regularly a few years ago, but only on occasion these days, mainly because I haven't fished in quite a while.

I feel a change coming.

Addendum: I still, to this day, even as an English teacher, cannot remember how to spell "occasion." I get it wrong regularly, then have to edit.
Addendum II: We all have "words" that stump us!

I used to enjoy their pics and posts. Both I thought were damn good anglers and passionate about it too....oh well times have changed and they probably think they have a friendlier environment where they post their pics and info

Thorn is another I miss. Too much interference here for him to post I suppose. This forum used to have a lot of good anglers that would post and share. Sadly those days are gone. Most wont even reveal the lake the fish on. Times have changed.

Carey Thorn posts on the Lake Lavon forum on Facebook. He got tired of all the nasty remarks he used to get on here when all he was trying to do was help people catch more fish. He is the most open guide I have ever known and he shares more information than all the other guides combined. He is also the best fisherman I have ever known, and that's saying a lot because people tell me that i am the best fisherman they have ever known, but Carey can put me to shame - he is that much better.

Things have changed as said. Its a shame people cant lighten up and enjoy the sport and other people sharing their catch. I liked it better the way it used to be. There was a lot of good hearted banter and BS plus people werent scared to even mention a lake or a creek.

I moved on from bank fishing to a boat. Some others may have as well. The one disappointment I had with posting on this page was how spots that where remote had had very little pressure for decades(back to the 1970's) became painful to fish after the advent of the internet. Everybody and I mean everybody would show up after a good friendly post and a few pictures. And, worse than that, they would completely trash the place in the process. Add that to some of the bickering and attacks that come out of the faceless internet, its no wonder many post for a while and then go away. When I post now, I try to give information on depth, presentation, water temp, lure selection and type structure fished. Location on a body of water is the only thing that I am very guarded about. I enjoy fishing with others and meeting and sharing, but not to the point that it becomes detrimental to the experience or the location. Good luck and tight lines.

Preserving Texas fishing heritage one lure at a time.
