 crappie fishing conroe guidance

A buddy and I are going to go to Conroe sunday to start scanning the lake for bass fishing later on. We figure we will do some crappie fishing while we are there as well. Plan is to launch out of Stowaway marina. Neither of us have fished Conroe really and looking for a little help. I figure we will head south as its easier to navigate than going north. Any help would be appreciated

Can't tell you about crappie fishing on Conroe from a boat but I will say they are moving into the marinas pretty well. You might reach out to "SK". He probably would have some words of wisdom.

1097 bridge for crappie, but they dont even run crappie guided trips anymore due to population decline about 10 years ago that never rebounded. As for Conroe info the one consistent thing is they wont be in the same place 2 days in a row. And no one will give you any Conroe info and its been like that for years. I have been going up there last few weeks and crappie are on for sure. C-130 might post up I know he and his son HS fished a lot and this is their home lake and he will no doubt tell you he has a love/hate relationship.

Thanks for the responses. Not looking for anything specific just some general info about Conroe. Don't want any secret spots lol....but would not turn them down.
Like I said launching at stowaway and headed south to start spot marking for future bass fishing. Just wanted to wet a line for some paper lips while there

Brian,do you know how long it normally takes for the segment to air? That show from last December aired in Feb 2019. They are all available on www.Brushpilefishing.com under the "Episodes" tab. The show we just filmed on LOP should air around the same time 2020...all on the Pursuit Channel, and then released on the website the next day.
