So I have to work roughly 28.75% of the weekends annually that most salaried employees have off. I think tomorrow could be a great day to fish. My raise approver hasn’t responded to text or email for about 4 days now and that’s unacceptable for a man of that stature. I can only assume he wants me to have the option to say [censored] you work, just go fishing. Am I wrong?

I tried and tried but was not cut out to lie to people to sell new gmc/pontiacs, went fishin on a great day (sat) and when the gen. mgr called I pretty much told him to wait till I came off plane. told him the fish were biting good and I wasn't comin back, adios mf.

My chain of command goes lead in Arizona, then boss in Alabama, then big boss in Kentucky. So most of my communication is by text, chat, phone, or email. When something comes up, I send an email If no response in 2 days, I do what I want. I remind my boss on a regular basis that the 2 things I really need him to do for me is to make sure my paycheck goes through, and to cover my butt when I do something someone doesn't like.
