Going to try some soon. I've been looking at online recipe's. They are basically the same. Fry them like French Fries. Have you fried any? What's your recipe? food

Slice them, freeze them then bread
Flour, egg type wash and something you like .(Panco..Golden dipt breading or cornmeal).
Refreeze.Fry at 350 till golden and serve with salsa or ranch or combo of the two.

This is interesting for sure. Tell me more about this process of freezing. So, you freeze, let thaw, and then batter them. After battering you put back in the freezer....right?

Do not thaw. Slice, freeze, bread quickly and put back in freezer. Use sheet pan. Deep fry from frozen state

Once you put them back into the freezer breaded, how long do you keep them in there before they are fried?

Till they are frozen hard. If you try to cook from soft state, they will more than likely break. Maybe 2 hours?? Leave them in freezer until you are ready to fry.

The only place I know of, and was introduced to this method, was a restaurant near the VA Hospital in Temple......called CHICO'S near a Walmart. I didn't like the stuff myself !

I'd like to try one stuffed with crab.
