Hit Tawakoni this afternoon for a few hours. The lake turned flat calm while we were out. It’s almost awkward when the whole lake is glass calm. Launched at 2 mile bridge and started looking around some points and different depths. Found bait balls everywhere. Tons of bait right now. Began catching plenty of white bass hugging close to the bottom. Big hybrids would come through above them. Really good to get my brother out and on the fish today.

Good job. I noticed you have some catfish rods in the boat. Did yall do any catfishing?

We started out dragging baits for about a quarter mile. Being that I have a smaller boat, the lack of wind made a good opportunity to make a run into new water. Started seeing all the bait and sandies on the bottom. So we stashed the catfish rigs and brought out the 1oz slabs. Cat fishing with no wind can be slow anyway lol. We only had a couple cat fish bites, but didn’t try after we got on the hybrids.
