Those who know-

Family is thinking about renting a house over the holidays on Inks Lake (Burnet area)
on the Colorado River.

Anyone know how the fishing is there?
Worth taking the boat down?

Any insight would be much appreciated.

Thx
Tommy

Decent largemouth and stripers. Look for the green lights on docks

And you know Buchanan is only a few miles away as well. Maybe 10 or 15 minute drive to put in depending on where you are on Inks.

Never fished it or been there, but I've been told it's a beautiful lake. Very clear water

Bring your boat and take it to LBJ just below Inks or Buchanan just above Inks. Both short drives from Inks.

I have caught 25# bags on Buchanan in the past and 30+# bags on LBJ.

LBJ is on a comeback after they sprayed the grass 2 yrs ago.

I prefer LBJ over the other 2 lakes. imo
