Saw a #30+ pound sack yesterday on lake Palestine. Weighed in by high school team during thsba.

Giant sack! Those kids are from Van. Good friend of mines son is one of the kids who caught them. They work hard and it really paid off. Some college will be very lucky to get them on their team.

Probably shallow on spinnerbaits, squarebills, or chatterbait. Just a guess

Kickapoo usually best bet for it but don't have to have it. You find the right stretch of stumps they're on, it's over

I heard they fished in a flat bottom , went where nobody could get to . But good for them ! Monster bag for fall .

That makes sense. Getting up in either river at this water level is really tough. It's a boat killer.

I've had the opportunity to be a boat captain at a few events this fall, and I have to say these young anglers are very impressive!!!
