Anyone know how crowded things are in Port A. over Thanksgiving? I have a chance to attend a shindig, and was wondering about crowds, restaurant line waits, and the like. I would assume jetty and pier fishing is winding down, but I'll pack my pole just in case.

From what I have experienced in the past the snow birds are coming down for the winter. There is a lot of activity in the RV parks. I never tried fishing that time of year but will certainly try next chance. The beach activity is not really crowded but people still walking the beach fishing etc but not like the peak seasons. I used to take a travel trailer down there and had to make reservations early to get a spot due to the snowbirds that come down. I an not sure really if the condos are booked like the RV places. I like being down there in the fall because temps are better less crowds etc..I suspect there could be a little more activity due to the holiday

Can’t help with this time of year however, for many years that is out go to place for our anniversary, for many reasons it is a special place for us- Most years we go super bowl weekend- We didn’t make it last year because of life stuff but there the year before just after the storm hit, and of course it wasn’t a normal visit- So I can speak to “wintertime” at port A- There are snowbirds there, but we have always enjoyed them- Things are just at a much slower pace than in the summers- We go to fish and walk the beach and just have very chill few days- If you want more activities corpus is not far- We will go back this February again- I hope you go and enjoy the visit there-
What has happed to you does not define who you are-
HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

^^^ wurd up, check the game regs. Also, there should be nothing to worry about, everything should be open and empty. Might be some snowbirds, but whatever, they'll die soon enough.
