....You absorb the callousness and disregard for life that is prevalent in society.
You absorb it by taking in the pet they no longer have use for.
Their dog or cat becomes expendable, they drive out to the country and dump it like trash.
It happens all the time. It's sad and it's the reason many are beginning to put up cameras in areas that aren't expected. I expect that country folk (probably already happening) will start sharing photos and video of pets being dumped on sites like Facebook and instagram if they aren't already. I don't currently use video for all my accessible property but I'm considering it just to get the scum of society on video who would treat a pet like yesterday's trash.
This fella has taken up residence at the door to my workshop because my dogs won't let him near the house.

Damn it

call it what you will...he is not definitely not anywhere near the top of the list for QB's that I would choose needing a FG or touchdown drive late in the game.

Pure sadness....people need to quit having animals if they're not willing to take care of them 100%.

Beautiful puppy you have there, are you planning on keeping him?

My wife is currently sharing his photo with folks in our area with the hope that something happened to cause this pet to wind up at our home. The dog is/was obviously someone's pet based on the way it has interacted with us. We know the difference between wild animals and pets after living in the sticks forever. This is most definitely a pet. Happens at least once a year and that's just the ones that show up on our property.

We’re in same boat. My male blue heeler won’t let strays get close to the house. Last dog that was dumped I took him to our vet , got him immunized and tested with treatment for heartworms( he was neg for heartworms) gave pprwrk & fido to county animal control to take to spca. He was adopted so I was told. We are unable to keep these dumped animals so we do what we can.

Yes kennerdude, very cool. We have taken all of our adopted to the vet.
All shots, spayed and neutered. Currently have 2 dogs and two cats. Hopefully this fella just went out on his own chasing after a female in heat and forgot his way home. Unlikely since he wound up here and we don't have what he would've been looking for.

Sadly, some people ain’t worth the lead required to shoot them.

Thanks for taking care of the homeless pets. May your kindness be repaid many times over.

Just a terrible thing to do to an animal. Makes me wonder what else people like that are capable of.

Related story, I had a Dalmatian that had a heart of gold but was just uncontrollably rambunctious and tore stuff up. We had to get rid of her so we took her to a no kill shelter so she could get adopted into a better situation. Paid all the fees and went home..........next day I went back and paid more fees to get her back, the guilt was overwhelming. She finally calmed down and was a decent mutt, really guarded my first kid when she was born. This is the dog that stripped my lazy boy recliner down to the frame

My wife decided to take down these horns for some reason I can't remember.
One of our pets thought it was a new toy to destroy lol.

this is Dot...she showed up at my house in Feb. 2011 with her back hip out of socket...the vet cut the ball off and stuck the bone back in the socket...took 6+ months to heal but she's as good as new...

MERCY - not receiving what you deserve
GRACE - receiving what you don't deserve
America's MESS = God's miracle fixes
I'd rather walk with God with no questions answered than to walk thru life without Him and know the answers
