A few distilleries close in the area
This would be high on the list. Any particular one you'd recommend? I think they are doing the cart racing thing as a work event.

Mrs RayBob and I spent a few days there last month for our anniversary weekend. We went to the Riverwalk of course, El Mercado, One morning we ate breakfast at The Guenther House which is probably a more kool thing for couples. We also went to the Natural Bridge Caverns, and drove over to Fredericksburg one day. We had a good 4 days there.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

I used to catch those all the time. Never knew they were a special thing. Haven't caught one in years.

Southtown. Only place you need to go if you are downtown. Enough there to last you a few days. Restaurants, bars, and lots of history. You cant go near it, but driving by the old Lone Star Beer Factory is a cool sight to see.

original rudys is in leon springs, just outside 1604 on 10, not 407 good but a good second back when. should still be a cool wood roller coaster at six flags (fiesta Tx. when it opened). go check out the cave, http://www.cascadecaverns.com/canyon lake is close enough for a quick guided trip. trout on the guad (I would not suggest tubing this time of yr.), cruise san marcos and hit college bars, check out some german cuisine around new braunfels or tex mex in san antonio. used to be a place called dirty sallys on the riverwalk, great place to hang and drink some beer, if it is still there (maybe?). been a couple or 3 decades since I did all that, statute of limitations and all that.

Don't drive a Ford F-250 there or it won't be there when you wake up the next morning!
