My dad was the exact same way
when we left the room his brother was in the room alone with him for a short time
Then he came out and said he was gone
We assumed he did something to expedite the death process

he had colon cancer

sorry about your dad

Death process is different depending on the circumstances. It can be hard. Seems your dad is peaceful and that's a good thing. Prayers up for your mom, you, and the family.

when my dad passed I told my sister to give him all the morphine/opioid that they will give us. He was gone and the drugs speed it along.

My prayers and sympathies. I’ve gone thru the same more times than I care to remember. It’s never easy. Just remember to ask for the Comforter for everyone concerned. I’ve already done so.
