I'll add I've fished that thing from Toho in FL, to TX, and now in CA. I've taken my 175 in waters I shouldn't have but it's never let me down. Only reason I'm looking to change is because of wind/rough water and speed.

I had a Tracker 175 for 10 years and not a problem out of it. I upgraded to the 190 and after 8 years it still gets me from A to Z. It catches fish just like any other boat and goes into places that others won't venture. It floats, it's paid for, and I'm happy!!

Lowe have a loyal following for sure. On the great lakes. I have never owned an Aluminum boat...... but I have always heard all welded are more better than a boat with rivets. Ranger makes an all welded.

Welded sometime break too as do riveted sometimes can develop a leak.

Many aluminum boats the military built and used are riveted.

Passenger jet liners are riveted aluminum.....

Depends on the builder. Some better than others.

No idea why people poo poo Trackers. They are generally a price point product. You get what you pay for and should expect no less and no more. Trackers are what they are and are not what they are not. Same for Lowe or Lund or Starcraft or Duracraft or any of the countless aluminum boat manufacturers.

I had a 1985 aluminum BassTracker with a 35hp Evinrude. It was a sweet boat, would top out 30 mph with me and a friend and gear, never leaked, never had a problem with it, and it was easy to push around the driveway.

I definitely wouldn't only consider Lowe and Tracker for aluminum boats.....

It's only a good cast if you catch a fish...

Monark owner since 2008.
All welded 754 bass pro.
18ft with a 60hp 4 stroke mercury.
Can go up to 90 hp but can't imagine a reason why.
40 mph on calm water with a passenger.
Never had a problem with wind but I don't normally fish if winds are going to be over 20mph.
As far as wind is concerned I wouldn't want to be on the water fishing in any boat with winds over 20 but I've had some great luck bank fishing for crappie and catfish when the wind was blowing 30 mph and ice was forming on the eyelets of my rod.

Trackers are fine boats. One of my buddies who taught me to fish has run his for years and put it through heelll and it still goes strong. Just check a used one out and check motor.

Nothing wrong with tracker boats just take care of it. All boats can have problems if they are abused fiberglass or aluminum. I have a rt 188 first aluminum I’ve ever owned so much easier to deal with than a large glass boat.
