Man, I'm jealous! You're a week and a half ahead of our first stocking.

The first stocking is 11/27 in Hurst also. I thank it is odd that it occurs on the day before Thanksgiving.

How is Amarillo working out so far? Have you checked out Meredith yet?

Amarillo is good. I have been to Meridith twice. Once just looking around and once scouting for mule deer. Been to busy getting used to the new job to do much fishing. Hope to do some soon.

Looks like my creek will be getting stocked twice over the Christmas Holiday timeframe. The big channel cats still seem active in most of the "fishable" pools and runs; I'm guessing this stocking is how some of them get to the proportions they do in that little water body. Guess I will break out a 2wt or 3wt rod and play with the little Texas stockers. May have to throw a 5/0 pike streamer in rainbow trout colors on the 8wt and see if the big cats will play too. Guess I will be playing catch and release and or handing fish out to others as them stockers taste about like paste because of the trout pellets they are raised on.

Looks like a great stocking season is ahead. Looking forward to seeing some catches and reading some post!

Side Note: Just might see a Jagg Video on trout fishing if he will produce one!

I see a drop scheduled for the Canyon Lake tailrace, but not Camp Hueco Springs. Do they not drop there any more or is it included as a part of the tailrace drop?

I would not think so,most are same size and have been for many years.
