I am looking for a rod to throw swimbaits, more than likely nothing bigger than an S Waver 200, but would like to be able to use the same rod for Frogs and maybe pitching/flipping heavy cover. I don’t swimbait fish all that much so I hate to have a dedicated rod just for that. Any suggestions around the $150 mark or less?

Sort of a tricky question
For treble hooked glide baits, you want a moderate parabolic action
Fishing frogs around heavy vegetation, you want something more stiff

Considering that the swaver 200 weighs 3.5oz and frogs weigh maybe 1/2oz makes a one rod for both more challenging

My mistake, I meant the 168 size S Waver.

In that case; a good compromise would be the iRod Genesis 2 magic Stick
$149; but if you can wait for the Thanksgiving discounts; it’ll be 15% off
