The wife and I will be fishing Navarro Mills this weekend. In our couple of trips prior to this, we found most of the crappie at the dam. Any suggestions where we might find them this time - cooler water, cooler air temps, and fresh water from today’s rain? Shallower? Deeper? Around stumps? Any help would be appreciated.

I would check the many brushpiles on the lake. They should be biting well with jigs.

There`s always the Big BP @ that corner of the dam that produces but you will probably have more company than you`d want so I would target the Timber west of the marina then head to points on the north side coming out of both Wolf & Brushie creeks . There was a habitat project done a while back on NM that introduced new structure to this old girl.Don`t quote me but I think they put close to 40 structures down in various places.

Sorry for getting back so late but I recently (today 11,14,2019)spoke with Steve at the Navarro Mills lake office who informed me that Liberty Hill ,Oak,& Brushy Prairie boat ramps are fully open. Lake is down 2ft so be careful in the Timber west of the Marina. LOTS OF Lower unit busters over there. coolio
