Has anyone bought or been able to play with any of the new ones? Thinking about buying one to try out the "Cross Match" blanks they're using.

My fishing partner bought a few a couple weeks ago. They are nice. I’d say they are right there with the Cara line. I think they are Chinese made vs USA. I think that is where the $20-$50 dollar savings is coming from. I am pretty sure, by comparing them to my older Caras, that they use mostly the same components....save for possibly the blank being a little different. Similar cosmetics, weight, and balance. Fuji handle and guides on both.

For the $199 range, I think they are a great choice.

a falcon dealer i use, told me Falcon was having issues with these breaking.
i have a couple of the older ones , the older ones are great rods

I replace my broken Cara frog rod with one of these and can not tell the difference.
