I'm not sure how the secret slides will work for you but I have bought plastic slides with the stainless steel clip before and when I would go to swing the bait in the water I see my wait detach and go the other way into the water LOL!!!!!.........I finally found some that work they have a black and yellow Sinker slide bumper but when they took the plastic apart the metal goes inside the plastic and around it so if the bumper breaks for some reason you will not lose your weight.... I can get some pictures on here and a link if you're interested??

This is what I use when drifting. [img]https://texasfishingforum.com/forum...71e3f10_c334_425d_af9f_ae061d01269b.jpeg[/

Instead of the peg float I will use a demon dragon and a versa rattle. I used to think the rattles and extra noise makers were just a gimmick until I started catching more on tough days with the rattles attached. Now I won’t fish without them. Don’t buy the expensive slinky weights make your own with braided 1 inch rope and I made mine out of an old casting net I tore up beyond repair. Cut a 6-9 inch piece of rope seal one end with lighter and pliers slide 3-4 weights in and seal other end making a hole in the top with a heated nail to clip into your sinker slide.

Do you have a picture of what your weights look like so I can see what your talking about?

The dragon is basically a larger version of the slinky weight. I’ve been buying my slinky’s but they are super simple to build. Get para-cord, cut to referred length, pull out the center, heat up end and pinch shut with pliers on one end. Get some 32 cal buckshot from the reload shop and slide into the unsealed end of para cord. Once you reach desired weight heat the end and seal shut. Poke a heated nail through one of the sealed ends and you have a slinky. The dragons are generally made from flexible tubing and are generally heavier in weight. YouTube has a ton of different configurations. Good luck!
