I just installed helix 10 at console for side imaging and charts and helix 7 on front for 2d and down imaging. Any help on settings would be appreciated. I mostly fish for crappie and catfish. Thanks

There is no one size fits all that works for sonar settings. There are separate settings for SI, DI and 2D. Each has to be set separately.
For general use, sensitivity at 15, contrast between 9 and 12 and sharpness on low for SI. For 2D, you'll have to play with it. But sensitivity around 12-16 depending on what you want to see.
Settings depend on depth, water clarity and time of year and what you want to see on the screen, ie. fish on limbs or better definition of structure. Contrast will be something you may want to change back and forth. That's why there is an enhance feature so you can adjust the settings while you look at the live screen. Don't be afraid to change settings every time you get on the water. Helps get the best picture.
