I love the action of my medium pro angler rods but was thinking about asking Santa Clause for a whisker seeker. How much stiffer are the medium/heavy whisker seekers than the medium pro anglers? If they are a lot stiffer then I would rather stick with the pro anglers.
Also if anyone around Royse City has a whisker seeker for me to feel let me know.

you'll like the WS rods! They've upgraded the reel seat and the combination is pretty hard to beat. Pro Angler is also a good rod for the money. Again, personal choice.

I’ve used both the PA and WS and just like Littlefeather stated it comes down to choice. PA are durable and great rods that won’t break the bank, I have nothing bad to say about them and I enjoyed using them for several years. I now use Whisker Seekers and for me The Med/Hvy is my preferred rod. I like everything about the rod and I’ve never had one disappoint me. The rod is sensitive enough to enjoy a battle with a five pound fish and strong enough to handle fish over 50lbs that I’ve caught. I own a dozen WS rods and is now the only rod that I prefer. For me it is just a personal choice. Both rods are fantastic and will get the job done. Here are a couple of photos of each rod showing the backbone on two big fish that were about the same size.

I feel good and have been very active since my heart attack and have been catching some nice fish when I go out. I missed trophy season last year being on the mend but I’m good to go now!

I own both rods. The WS warranty is great but i own 8 PA rods and have never needed a warranty. being retired it comes down to price for me and the PA wins that and that is the reason why i have 8 PA rods and 2 WS rods. The PA rods really shine in being tough because i use mine almost every week. i do not baby a rod and get my hooks hunk on logs at fork every time i fish. i use 30 to 65 pound braid and i do prefer power pro line. i bought some chinese line online and it broke often. i take lots of guys fishing that are not regular fishing guys and yes they don't know the right way to get their hooks loose from a stump. so mine do get some abuse.I know several catfish guides that use pro anglers mostly. I think again that is because of price. Cat fisherman are different from other angles in that most if us need to watch cash. retirement does not pay as well as a job but i aint complaining.
