I need to see pictures. No pictures, it’s just a fish story! Wait, on second thought, if you hammered em as stated, please keep that yourself, now and in the future roflmao

It’s the Dead Sea fellas, don’t believe the hype. Except for the gaspergoo fishing, it’s stellar.

Mike if you think the goo fishing is good, you should try the catfishing, that lake has more catfish than any other lake I’ve been on!

I heard a rumor that the crappie fishing was good! roflmao These guys are killing me, 30 bass up to 5lbs, guys claiming that the crappie fishing is good and now you’re trying to tell me that the catfishing is good too. Oh you guys are yanking my chain. That lakes been the Dead Sea since 2010!

Saw a report about Canyon lake, now there’s some good fishing! This is where I’d go, if I was wanting to catch fish.

It’s legit info Jimbo, anyone coming down should def try ‘possum creek first. All those Shad went up the creek and the Main lake is dead. frown
Crappie bite is gone and the bass seemed to have disappeared, only catfish & gaspergou left. She’s returning to her old self with this dropping water. Almost not worth going down there anymore.

Falls off quick after that, we had 16 people fishing 6 limits should be on our website in a week or so South Houston Bass club or maybe that's trolling you to our site. Big fish was a 7.7

Good morning Farrside. My bass fishing club had a tournament there October the 19th and 20th with 10 club members. 1st was 30.03, 2nd was 26.20, 3rd was 25.80, 4th was 18.35, 5th was 15 61. Big bass was a 5.5 5 limits on Saturday and 3 on Sunday but all 10 members caught and weighed fish both days. All the fish were caught in and around the hydrilla. We have another tournament there this weekend. Were the fish that your club caught still active in the hydrilla? I was there the same time you were on November the 2nd and 3rd but I was trolling for white bass for the freezer. The water temperature that weekend was 66 degrees. What kind of temps did your club see? By the way I caught 20 white bass and 2 crappie trolling on the dead sea.

Our club fished this past weekend and saw water temps in the 65-68 degree range. The "creek" had numerous boats in area fighting for area spots. I had 1 boater come so close to us while I was slowly motoring in that his wake threw us into the trees. He passed us and did a big circle around us and headed back out to channel. Combat fishing at it best! Our Best stringers did come from the Creek and near Naylor pond area. main lake areas seemed dead. I heard about a angler doing real well cranking deep in 4 fingers but who knows for sure.

Why is it when they are biting I seem to always not be able to go? Rehab better start kicking in or I will be learning to cast with the other hand.

And your weights were what?

Farrside, with all the awesome fishing lakes near Houston, why in the world do you guys come to Choke? Serious question there, seems like a lot of the bass clubs coming to Choke are from that area. Why wouldn’t y’all go to Fayette, Rayburn, Conroe or all those better lakes?

The bite isn’t that great, seems to be about a 3lb average and the bass aren’t jumping in the boat. These guys are working to catch the fish. Don’t be fooled by their numbers. This cold front got to freezing down there and the grass is going to take a big hit, things are about to change.

You guys name dropping specific spots are insane, opossum Creek was mentioned and now you can’t even get back there due to everyone rushing back there, the Internet kills lakes, posting this info is not smart if you fish those spots.

skeeter17584. Possum creek has a lot of underwater timber just under the surface. I am surprised he did not thump some wood on his way out. The Naylor pond area has been good for a while. Lot of boat traffic in those areas. Did you get peppered from the duck hunters?

Its hard to not notice the tourney results. People are going to the lake.

Your average weekend angler guards his spot by not talking about it.

Your professional weekend angler guards his honey hole by letting you know about the amazing fishing no where near it and baiting you away.
