Who does this? Crazy stuff right here. Who borrows like this? Who loans like this?

Hard for me to figure out which one is the crazy in this story? Borrower or loan originator?

Wonder how the loan company gets out from under this when he quits making payments.

I was the finance manager for a new car dealership back in the late 80s. Financial institutions back then would not let this happen. If a buyer had excellent credit then they would allow them to go a little bit underwater, but even folks with just "good" credit could not get financed this way.

Listen to Dave Ramsey, there are people like this that call in daily.

Sometimes what didn't work out for you, did in fact, work out for you.

Haters going to hate and believers are going to believe.

Every man has two lives,The second one starts when he realizes that he has only one.

Elect any of the demorats for president and they will have "the government" bail you out. In other words they'll have your friends, relatives and neighbors pay for your stupidity.

If the guy who did this can’t pay over time he would be a good candidate for Chapter 13.
I often wonder about the cost of and the buyers of ever increasing expensive boats. If there is a downturn in the economy a lot of nice boats will be defaulted on.

I was a sales manager in the early 2000's before the financial crisis in '08. With good credit getting a lender to carry 120% of MSRP +TTL was pretty common. Highest I seen was 140% plus T's.

Running joke was the loans came with wheels on the roof rack cause they were so upside down.

I tend to worry about my and my family's own income and expenditures and not others. So what "the jones" do isn't my concern.

That being said it's nice to have a 2017 and 2018 vehicle and only owe a small amount on the newer of the two.
