I'm going fishing on Sun afternoon in a kayak and I'm curious if ya'll would recommend that I launch at Highport or Eisenhower? Obviously I can't paddle too far in a yak so I'm hoping to get closer to where the fish have been found when I launch.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

I fished today out of high port. We caught fish under birds between the marina and islands. Not too far to paddle. Can’t speak for Eisenhower though.

On a calm day, I would recommend launching from highport and going to the islands. The wind is supposed to be from the south at 11+ In the afternoon which I would say is risky in a kayak. I would recommend launching by the dam vs. Eisenhower and fishing some of the humps by the dam or going in the am vs. the pm.
