My first was a Lowrance 610A. Received as a Christmas gift in 1978 or 1979.

I've got one just like that. Came off a '78 Roughneck I bought in 1983.

I am old enough to have used one but I didn't get into bass fishing until I was almost 50. I was all saltwater and some catfishing. My first GPS/ Fishfinder had a 4" monochrome Raymarine GPS/FIshfinder. Back then, It costs as much as what a 10" color does today.

Be safe,

I never used one but was bass fishing before they were even invented. Many fishermen could afford or justify a paper graph because they had a family to support, most had a flasher.

A friend had a Lowrance X15 we used to look for shipwrecks on the great lakes. Best picture but very expensive to run searching for wrecks.
