Dan and I hit the lake at 8:00 AM and fished until noon. We C & R 46. Several nice ones.
Strangest thing was for several weeks we have been catching most of our fish on very small plastic baits. We tried larger ones with no results. Started out today the same way. Caught about 25 and then they just quit biting. After an hour with no bites we tried some 3" baits. Instant results. Caught 21 more nice fish by noon. Go figure. Just got to keep an oped mind and try different things until something works.
Tomorrow ? We will see.

Monday: Not as good as the last three trips. Wind was tough to fish in. Where the fish would bite we could hardly hold to fish. Found a few in sheltered areas. Finished the morning with 18 over 12" in the box out of about 40 total caught.
Cold front due at 4: AM tomorrow. Hopefully my scheduled instructional trip for tomorrow will reschedule.

I to have a trip but not until 1 pm and we will be in the back of the marina if doable. Good to see y'all this morning. I managed to find a decent bite back where I told ya I was at. That's where I went back to after seeing you. Wed: I thought the weather was going to be bad so I made no plans to fish. About 9:30 I realized it was OK weather wise. Called up Rick, couldn't go. Called Dan, no answer. Called James and he said what time. We started at 11:00 and fished until 3:00 PM. Cloudy, cool but not cold, light south wind, PERFECT.
Wasn't fast but we kept 20 all over 12" out of 40+. All in all a fine day and we almost missed it.
Only saw two other boats at a distance on the water.
