Start looking for low impact exercises..I use an elliptical for leg exercises and see/feel the results. I had knee surgery on right knee 7 years ago and it still was not 100% fixed. Best thing I did was start an exercise/fitness program of cardio abs upper body. Don't wait till you have to do it be proactive about it. Another thing that helps me out is that I don't have to leave the house to do any of my workouts. Rain today but still got them all done.

Well i got some somewhat bad news. When i got over 50 everything broke. Can you say 5 strokes and crushed discs in the neck. Getting old is good in some ways. I dont have to wait that much longer to be put out of the pain. I do get to fish any and every day i want. Keep your head up and pray.i am a big believer in god and he is our only help.

Riding a bike regularly is the best thing you can do to keep your knees healthy. Low impact and pretty good for the rest of you too.

I have done labor most of my life and now my kness are in bad shape. One feels like it dislocated every now and then and the other sounds like it has gram crackers in it. That being said I have a bmx I ride that keeps my knees in shape. It absolutely it the best thing since sliced bread. It takes the pain away and makes walking easy.
If the fish don't bite your not baiting right...

Man getting old sucks! I live with a ton of pain I got from sports injuries, car wrecks, motocross, and just generally being a wild aced kid. Get some compression braces so blood flow gets to and from the injury. Keep the muscles around the knee stretched out every morning. Balled up or tight Quads, hamstings, and calf can contribute to a lot of pain associated with the knee. Low impact exercise will help get blood into that area every day. Ice it in the evenings. Cut back on alcohol cuz the body won’t heal properly if your on it. Take some CBD or cannabis for pain and inflammation. Go fish!

Huh I did mean for this to be in the ot but I think I got better answers here thanks guys ! Knee pads and excercise got it any vitamins to help keep all the cartridge and stuff in there good ? Proper hydration, weight-loss if overweight, reduce alcohol and caffeine (they are diuretics and promote water loss), low-impact exercises like above (walking, cycling, swimming), overall stretching of legs, back, glutes (dynamic first the static’s if needed), heat and cool compresses when needed, practice ROM range of motion with stretches. This is what I would suggest to patients of mine at the hospital upon discharge. More common than not, knees and shoulder joints are vulnerable to all sorts of long term wear and tear. I would be careful on vitamins because they can be more of a hinderance and headache if you are over doing them. It can also have an impact on your kidneys as well. Please consult hour primary care provider for vitamin and medication supplementation for your knees to review your medical history and lab values. PS- a good good pair of well fitting shoes does wonders to also keep your body in alignment. Sometimes our knee pain can me caused by wearing joints, minor tears or hyper extensions, dehydration, or back/leg/glute misalignment which who’ll cause for your “step” to be off. Good shoes with proper support and padding is one of the most overlooked items a person buys for themselves.

My wife uses cbd for her arthritis and lupus. It works like Vicodin. Minus the adition and getting high lol.

Caution with chronic use of naproxen as it is nephrotoxic (bad for your kidneys). It can cause kidney impairment, worsening of kidney function if already compromised, and/or kidney failure in more extreme cases. Everything in moderation, including moderation 😁
