After fishing Lake Fork for the last three weekends for crappie, shooting 1/6 jigs around the pillars , 515 bridge. I saw the Intel Dennis Christian had put on the forum for Cedar Creek. I thought I would try some of the spots Dennis had fished on 11.4.2019. I started at 8:00am to 1:30pm, First stop was Sams Hump, 11 to 16 Fow , I was showing a few fish. I caught 5 good sand bass , on Mepps #4, 2nd stop Key Ranch drop , 10 to 15 Fow , just before the drop, still loaded with fish. Slow rolling the Mepps , start and stop , seem to work that day . Also I got to fish 1/2 ounce , shad color tail spinners the same way I fished the Mepps. I was impressed with how many fish I caught. As long as the bait was close to the bottom, both baits seem to catch fish . Some were caught close to the boat. I do like fishing Long Ridge , however this time of year you can target that 10 to 15 Fow , next to a drop off, and catch a lot of fish. 3rd Stop , Merimac Hump , 10 to 19 Fow, still loaded with fish, running the Thumper, it was one every cast. A lot of legal Hybrids , magnum sand bass , several cat fish, 1 yellow bass, All fish were released that day. Great Day , Thanks DC, for the great infomation , it's good to see you fishing again .
