I was running a 36 volt system but went back to 24 volt because of battery weight, I have a Noco 4 bank charger and have disconnected 1 bank and taped up. Is this acceptable?

Yes, it is fine to do so. We just did a four bank on a 36v system and taped the unused end up. It is there if the customer decides to add a stand-alone battery for his electronics.

You can also double up the leads to one battery and charge it twice as fast.

SteezaMacQueen, by doubling up the leads won't damage the charger?
Do you have a link to say in black and white the this method is safe?

I have been doubling up on my 4 bank Noco =3 battery charger for over a year, no problems. I run the extra lead to my starter battery.

same volts just 2x the amps. battery will charge faster. Digital chargers will change the rate of charge based on battery condition on that bank
