Caught (5) in about and hour and a half Sunday afternoon, up to 3-1/2 lbs. Nothing big but was good to be out for a while

Caught 12 in an hour and a half last Friday on Holbrook, and only 6 on Palestine Sunday in about 2 and a half hours. It's been hard to find the size on Palestine lately too, all 6 were under 2#.

After three straight weekends of whacking them on Grapevine, Saturday was a bust. I went to Fork with a guide on Monday and fished 5 hours for one 2lb fish. Based on last weekend I have to agree it's been tough.

Fayette was slow Sunday until I found some in deeper water off points near creek channels. Not sure if last month’s fish kill has anything to do with it but could be. There were miles of shoreline covered in dead shad and bass. No gar that I saw or drums and only a few catfish. Very weird.

It was pretty decent for us Sunday afternoon. 10 bites in 3.5 hours and no dinks. They would not touch a jig or worm though, had to be a moving bait running into and deflecting off of cover to get a bite.

Been decent on Bridgeport. Caught about 15 LM Monday on crank baits. Most were 2, big was 3.5. Lots of hybrids.
GOD is good!

Slow as all get out around here too. The shad made a move back into the creeks here week or so ago, I think they gorged and moved out.
Watch it happen, make it happen, or say what the hell happened. Capt. Phil Harris F/V Cornelia Marie RIP

Fished my neighbors private 30 acres lake and the 4 of us caught 7 in about an hour on Friday afternoon. Biggest was 3 02. Chatterbait and Texas rig took most of the fish. Broke a BIG one off, though. Probably 6 or 7 lbs. SO, good fishing for a short time. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck. Thad Rains
