Isn’t that area called cheaters hole?

you can only get to it by walking to it and he only fished it during the summer.

Every since 2016, it seems like the 6-8 pound fish have disappeared. Our club fished tournaments there in Jan and Feb that year, and a 9.3 and 8.5 were weighed in (and several 6 pounders). Last two years it doesn't seem like those types of fish are being caught. There's a lot of good fishermen that fish in tournaments there, if that quality was still in the lake, they would catch them. I personally think there are too many fish (small bass) in the lake. In addition to taking Tilapia out, it wouldn't hurt to thin out the bass population a little.

The discharge from Granbury into Squaw is a hot weather thing. Cooler water in the summer months coming in kind of like the Lake O Pines discharge on Welsh or the Sandlin discharge on Monticello(RIP). Pumped in cooler water + current = fish. Luminant has a boat house up by the discharge for me but the plant and Nuclear Regulatory Commission security keep messing with me when I cross the buoys or get out and walk over to bank fishing the discharge! I got to fish it once with him... The tilapia were thick in there.. We had to cast past them to catch bass.. I hope he takes me again sometime but it is more a summer time thing...

We saw a handful of floaters Sunday coming in after the weekend jackpot tourney. People need to learn how to handle fish caught out deep.

here we go again. Please elaborate as to how you know these "floaters" were caught out deep and poor handling led to their demise.

They may have just been stunned from being thrown from 20 ft up back into the lake.

The man speaks absolute fact. Looks like it's raining bass off the side of that hill on most cold Saturday afternoons.

Is the weigh in area elevated above the lake? Never been there so I don’t know. Haven’t made it out there yet.
