Mexico is getting more and more like a middle east country:

When you feel the need to travel in a convoy, your not in a safe place.

This. Mexico is a cesspool. I will never spend another dime in that country again.

Not sure how Mexico solves this problem. Even if we legalize marijuana in the US, they'll just go onto smuggling something else. Zero chance these guys willingly lay down their arms and just go back to farming.

Terrible. There have been years of escalation between the gangs and the Mormon community/settlements in Mexico.
I seriously doubt that this was a "mistake".

If it were a mistake, the attackers would not have kidnapped another 11 people, to include children, from that compound. This was no mistake. It was a planned, coordinated attack.

Quite a colorful history with that family.

Mexican government can't or won't fix it. Cartel actions and their proximity to our borders are a serious threat to U.S. national security. Way past time for us to take them out.

Damn shame. Used to really like catching a quick flight to Cancun and hanging on the beach. They recently threw the sheriffs head onto the beach, makes me think they wouldn’t hesitate to do the same to me. Adios Mesico

Won't and don't care to. The government are the cartels and the cartels run the government.
