Monday Nov 25: Took out friends Ed and Mike from 10 AM to 1:40 PM. We started at Saint Annes Point East and caught about 16 fish there before the wind picked up and we had to leave. Fish were in 11 to 16 fow - right on top of the narrow point. We motored over to the dam and found fish at Campbell's Hump. Fished there about an hour catching more good whites and a couple of yellow bass worth keeping in 15 fow. That slowed so we went looking for more. Checked Dam Drop-off, Dam Ridge, Staubach Hump and the A-Frame and didn't find enough to stop for. Next we went to Long Ridge West and found a good concentration there in 20 fow. We caught a few working Mepps # 4 straight down but did better casting out and working it back to boat the usual way - keeping it close to the bottom reeling 3 to 4 turns of the reel at a time. This was the best spot. We caught a lot of really big whites (14 to 16 fow) some 16-17 inch hybrids and 2 legal hybrids. We were keeping fish today to clean for Mike and his wife. We stopped at 1:40 PM when we reached our limit of 75 white bass. All told we caught 87 fish: 75 whites, 2 legal hybrids, 4 short hybrids, 5 keeper yellow bass and a LMB. Here are some pics of the trip:
