I’m pretty sure this problem can be eased by paying $80 to have your tires filled with nitrogen.

Yep, nitrogen does give you a little more room in your wallet. However, I usually can count on my low tire sensor to come on on the first cold day of winter.

Thanks for the reminder.
My blinker fluid always needs topping off after the first cold spell.

What ever you do make sure you tell her to not go into a oil change shop. They would have no problem up selling her wind shield wipers, new battery cables, air filter, and so on. nuts

Nitrogen will still expand and contract with heat and cold, commercial aircraft tires are filled with nitrogen to prevent them from exploding under high heat and pressure, but when checked hot the pressure will often be 15 to 20 psi higher than cold pressure, but then the brakes are often 400+ degrees also.

Send her to DT. they will adjust her tire pressure. It does react a little to cold weather.

Tell her to have tires filled with about 79% nitrogen, almost 20% oxygen, a bit of carbon dioxide and a pinch of noble gasses

Don't forget the blinker fluid

And be sure to change your oil at 3000 miles, just like the oil change shops tell you to.... bolt

Good grief. Knowing what they charge for nitrogen, no telling what the bill would be to fill all four tires with that stuff. Probably about as hard to find as dihydrogen monoxide too!
