How did you decide which head unit to match with your Livescope? I don't understand all the Garmin models as to which feature separates the different models and their compare feature is not very helpful.

A GPSMAP1222 is what was recommended to me. It's as basic as you can get in the 12" for LiveScope. I believe the 1022 is the same in a 10". It has a basic map, internal receiver and no sounder...used just as a display.
From there, there are touch units, chartplotter/sounder units...
Call David Goodson at Shut Up and Fish. He can give you the rundown better and set you up as your budget allows.
